Symptoms can appear regardless of the type of sexual intercourse (vaginal, anal or oral) and regardless or the usage of condoms. Condoms are very effective in reducing the chances of sexually transmitted diseases, but there is no any protection method that is the safest, than abstinence, which is 100 percent effective.
Here are the most common sexually transmitted diseases and their symptoms:
It’s a bacterial infection of the genital tract. It’s hard to detect it in the early stages, because it usually has little or no symptoms at all. The symptoms appear usually 3 weeks after exposure.
Signs and symptoms:
-Vaginal discharge in women

-Pain in the testicles in men
-Painful sexual intercourse in women
It’s a bacterial infection of the genital tract. The first symptoms occur within 2-10 days of the appearance. However, some people could be infected for months before the first signs and symptoms even occur.

This disease hinders the body’s capability to effectively fight bacteria, fungi and viruses that cause disease, and it could lead to AIDS and some chronic and life-threatening diseases. There are people who develop flu – like symptoms, mostly 2 – 6 weeks after the infection.
Early symptoms of HIV include:
-Swollen lymph glands
There are symptoms that disappear within week to month and are usually regarded as symptoms of some other viral infection. During this time you are very contagious. More grave symptoms of HIV do not have to appear within 10 or more years of the initial infection. As the virus continues multiplying and destroying the immune system you can develop mild infections or chronic symptoms as:
-Damaged lymph nodes, usually one of the first signs of HIV
-Coughing and wheezing
Signs and symptoms in the later stage:
-Fever or temperature of 38 degrees for period of several weeks
-Chronic diarrhea -Swollen lymph nodes for more than 3 months
