Eyesight is the most disadvantaging to lose. Many people think that dryness of the eyes, macular degeneration, developing cataracts and many others are parts of the aging process and that are inevitable.
But the truth is different. Unhealthy lifestyle and poor diet contribute losing of eyesight more than aging does. By changing your eating habits and adopting healthier regimen, can protect or even heal your eyes.
Egg yolks, yellow peppers, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, especially carrots and dark leafy greens, contain lutein, zeaxanthin and beta carotene that protect against blindness related with the age. The consumption of freshly squeezed carrot juice at least twice per day is the perfect solution for healthy eyes.
You also have to consume food that is rich in cysteine, lecithin, and sulfur. You have to consume legumes, coconuts, dairy, shallots, tree nuts, garlic and onion. These foods reduce the risk of cataracts fortify your lens.
Goji berries, acai, black currant and blueberries are rich in anthocyanin – powerful antioxidant with anti inflammatory properties.
Mackerel, sardines and salmon encourage sharp vision.
Take and put a pen at arm’s length, try to focus on it and steadily move the pen closer and closer – at 6 inches from the nose. Afterwards move it back and try to do this 10 times.
Warm the eyes
Create heat by rubbing your hands and place them on your eyes for several seconds. Try to repeat this for three times.
Massage the temples
Massage the temples with the thumb knuckles, 20 times in one and 20 times in other direction.
Roll the eyes
Slowly circle your eyes clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise.
