The analyzes of their behavior showed that running is three times more effective in reducing anxiety and concern.

3.Running protects you from diseases. Daily exercise reduces the risk of diseases such as cancer. The results of a research done in UK show that the more active people (those who run 2 hours a week) are 24% less likely to develop colon cancer, then the less active people (those who walk 30 minutes a week). Also people who run are able to cope with diabetes and heart disease. Running also lowers blood pressure, increases the level of “good” cholesterol in the body and improves the immune system, helping the body to fight colds and viruses more easily.

4.If you run regularly, you’ll probably live longer. Research conducted at Stanford University examined 538 people who run and 423 who didn’t run in the period from 1984 to 2005. All the participants were over 50 and their capabilities for making ordinary things were measured: opening a door, washing dishes, cutting meat, etc.. Each year the abilities of the “inactive” participants declined. At the end of the study, 85% of participants who regularly ran were still alive compared with 66% of the participants who didn’t run .

5.Running helps with losing weight. This is one of the most common reasons why people begin to run. They want to lose a few extra pounds. You won’t make mistake if you choose running for achieving your desired weight. One hour of running burns about 200 calories, but if you accelerate the pace you’ll burn more.
