Today we decided to present you 3 amazing drinks that you can whip up before go to bed that will unwind, relax you and draft off to dreamland (none of the drinks contain alcohol that will disrupt your sleep).

Vanilla and Cherry Juice

Cherry juice has to be regular part of your nighttime and morning because it is the easiest sleep tonic that you can prepare.

Tart Cherry Juice – Cherries are extremely rich in melatonin – hormone the regulates sleep wake cycles, so a glass of this red liquid will help you to keep the sleep schedule on track.

Why to consume Vanilla (optional) – It has powerful soothing scent which can provide aromatherapy benefits if you add it in your cherry juice.

Ingredients:

  • 2 drops of vanilla extract
  • 4 – 7 ounces of tart cherry juice

Instructions:

Consume 5-8 ounces of cherry juice in the morning and 1-2 hours before go to sleep, add 2 drops of vanilla in the same amount of juice and drink it in its entirely.

Warm Milky Drink

The combination between honey, warm milk and a sprinkling of nutmeg is the right choice for Snoozefest.

Warm milk – The consumption of milk raises internal body temperature which will make you calm and sleepy. The most important thing in this drink is the placebo effect – it is something psychologically that can make us drowsy and calm.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 glass of milk

Instructions:

Warm up 8 ounces of milk and stir 1 tbsp of honey in it. Sprinkle it with ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg and consume the drink 30 minutes before go to bed! It will relax your body and will make you sleep like a baby.

Fresh Chamomile – lavender tea

We all know that lavender and chamomile are the most relaxing herbs that promote rest.

Chamomile – This herb has strong anti-anxiety properties such as Xanax which help us relax into sleep and calm us down.

Lavenderis an amazing herb that has been used to unwind and relax for centuries. It also has been used to treat various ailments such as:

  • Cancer
  • Skin irritations
  • Toothaches
  • Acne
  • Nausea
  • Hair loss
  • Headaches
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Mental health issues

Ingredients:

  • Honey/milk to taste – optional
  • 8 ounces of water
  • 1 teaspoon of chamomile buds
  • 1 tsp of lavender buds

Instructions:

Pour 8 ounces of water in a boil and then place 1 teaspoon of chamomile and lavender buds in a loose leaf tea strainer or a teaball. Pour water (boiling) over the strainer and let the herbs to steep for 15 minutes. Add the honey/or milk to taste.
